Occupational Therapy (OT)

OT recommendations should be client-centred, focused on maintaining quality of life, and symptom management.

This section includes tips and quick resources for occupational therapists (OTs) to provide to clients with ALS to address their everyday functional and mobility needs.

It is also important for the OT to follow the “Canadian Best Practice Recommendations for the Management of ALS” and use it as a guideline when working with individuals with ALS.

For more information, please refer to the Canadian Best Practice Recommendations for the Management of ALS.
